Announcement: IMPORTANT COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) NOTICE

Marquette University understands the current uncertainty and fears surrounding the most recent news about the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Like universities across the country, Marquette’s Office of International Education is currently monitoring resources related to the spread of coronavirus worldwide and is in close communication with our university partners abroad and our students to understand the situation on the ground in each affected location.  As the situation at each University in each location is different, we are working hard to determine the best way to move forward.

At this time, Marquette University is still offering study abroad programming. Please visit specific program pages to determine if a program is still being offered at this time. However, we strongly advise students against purchasing airfare until we provide further information.

The Office of International Education is continuously monitoring the spread worldwide through sources including, but not limited to:
  • U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs
  • U.S. Department of State Overseas Security Advisory Council
  • United States Center for Disease Control
  • World Health Organization
  • International SOS medical and travel security services
  • GeoBlue international travel insurance and security assistance
Our answers today may be different in the coming months as the situation continues to evolve. We will keep you informed as best as we can with the most updated information as we receive it. General updates regarding COVID-19 can be found on our website. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions.
