Official Rules and Release

By submitting photos into the Marquette OIE Photo Contest, I hereby grant to Marquette University the absolute and irrevocable right and unrestricted permission in respect of photographic portraits or pictures that Marquette University has taken of me or in which I may be included with others, or photographs that I have submitted to Marquette, to copyright the same, in Marquette University’s name or otherwise; to use re-use, publish, and re-publish the same in whole or in part, individually or in any and all media now or hereafter known, and for any purpose whatsoever, for illustration, promotion, art, editorial, advertising and trade, or any other purpose whatsoever without restriction as to alteration; and to use my name in connection therewith if Marquette University so chooses.

I hereby release and discharge Marquette University from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the photographs, including without limitation any and all claims for libel or invasion of privacy.

This authorization and release shall also inure to the benefit of the legal representatives, licensees, and assigns of Marquette University, as well as the person(s) who took the photographs.

I am of full age and have the right to contract in my own name. No payment has been promised or is anticipated. I have read the foregoing and fully understand the contents thereof. This release shall be binding upon me and my heirs, legal representatives, and assigns.

Requirements:

• Must fit theme of the month
• Must be school appropriate (no inappropriate language/clothing/gestures, drugs or alcohol in photo) - OIE's discretion
• Must be a photo taken from your international experience

How to participate:

Photo Submission:

Complete the form submission below by the designated deadline for each month (for April: April 22)

• All current Marquette students who have or are currently studying abroad (both domestically and internationally) are welcome to participate.
• Photo submission is limited to 1 photo per month/theme
• Photo submission timeframe: 1st of the month through the 20th of the same month (for April: April 22)
• Photo submission deadline: 20th of the month (for April: April 22)

Voting Details:

Photos within voting gallery will only appear following the photo submission deadline

• Voting timeframe is 1 week and begins the day after at 12pm CST following the photo submission deadline and ends 11:59pm CST on the last day of voting.
• Voting is limited to 1 vote per day per person.

Winner announcements:

The winner(s) of each monthly photo contest will be announced by the end of the month. Winner(s) will be contacted by the Office of International Education (OIE) and receive the following:

• OIE swag
• Highlight on our social platforms & e-newsletter
